Öz


ÖZET

Bu çalışmanın amacı Türkiye’de mevduat bankacılığında yoğunlaşma ile kârlılık ilişkisini analiz etmektir. Bu doğrultuda yoğunlaşma-kârlılık ilişkisinde geleneksel hipotezin mi (yapı-davranış-performans: SCP) yoksa etkin yapı hipotezinin mi geçerli olduğu araştırılmıştır. Türkiye’de faaliyet gösteren 24 mevduat bankasına yönelik veri kullanılarak ve panel veri yönteminden yararlanarak piyasa payı ve kârlılık arasında pozitif bir ilişki olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Bunun yanısıra sonuçlar mevduat bankacılığında rekabetin yüksek olduğunu ve ayrıca rekabetin kârlılığın önemli belirleyicilerinden biri olduğunu göstermektedir.
